1. Measure and Mark: Determine the desired height for your ozonaboard installation. Use a chalk line or level to mark a straight, even line along the wall at the designated height.
2. Cut the Drywall: Use a utility knife, oscillating tool, or drywall saw to carefully cut along the marked line. Take your time to ensure a clean, straight cut.
3. Check for Obstructions: Before finishing the cut, check the wall to ensure there are no screws, nails, or other obstructions in the area that may interfere with the installation. Remove any fasteners or debris to create a smooth surface.
1. Measure and Cut the Ozonaboard: Before installation, pre-measure the Ozonaboard to your desired size. Ensure the seams align properly with the studs in the wall for a secure fit.
2. Attach Additional Mounting Block: For extra support, we recommend attaching an additional mounting block to the studs. This will provide added stability for the Ozonaboard once installed.
Allow for Expansion and Contraction: Leave a gap of approximately 3/8” on one side of the Ozonaboard to account for expansion and contraction of the material. This will ensure that the board moves freely with changes in temperature or humidity.
1. Measure and Mark: Mark the desired cutting lines on the ozonaboard before proceeding. Double-check your measurements to ensure accuracy.
2. Cut the Ozonaboard: Use a small circular saw to cut the ozonaboard to your desired size. (you can also score and snap the board along the marked lines)
3. Use a Saw Guide: To ensure straight, clean cuts, always use a saw guide when using a circular saw. The straighter your cuts, the smoother and more professional your installation will be.
Mount screws along each vertical stud to ensure a secure installation providing effective testing solutions.
